ATAP (Alabama Telecommunications Access Program)

The Alabama Telecommunications Access Program (ATAP) provides Loan TTYs and other adaptive equipment to Alabama Residents with disabilities who require special equipment to use the telephone.

Equipment that can be funded includes:

TTY, large visual display TTY and Braille TTY
Amplifier and ring/flasher device
Voice carry-over telephone and hearing carry-over telephone
Other adaptive equipment needed to connect to the telephone system
CapTel
